End User License Agreement (EULA) — Matchday

Copyright © 2026 Andreas Kondylis. All rights reserved. · The same text is shown in the installer and in Settings › About. The Greek text prevails.

Please read this agreement carefully. By installing, copying or using Matchday you accept its terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use the software.

1. Definitions

"Software" means the Matchday application, together with its updates, documentation and accompanying files. "Licensor" means Andreas Kondylis. "Club" means the chess club to which the Licensor has given a copy of the Software. "User" means any person who uses the Software on behalf of the Club.

2. Grant of license

The Licensor grants the Club a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on computers and portable media of the Club or its officers, solely for the Club's own purposes. The Software is licensed, not sold.

3. Restrictions

Without the Licensor's prior written consent you may not:

  1. copy the Software, other than as needed for installation and the Club's backups;
  2. distribute, publish, upload, sell, rent, lend or otherwise make the Software available to third parties, including other clubs;
  3. sublicense or transfer this license;
  4. modify, translate or create derivative works of the Software;
  5. decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software, except where the law expressly allows it;
  6. remove or alter any copyright notice or this agreement.

4. Ownership

The Software and all intellectual property rights in it belong to the Licensor and are protected by Greek Law 2121/1993 and international treaties. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved by the Licensor. Third-party names, logos and marks (such as those of ESO, FIDE and the clubs) belong to their owners.

5. Data

The Software runs locally. Data entered by the Club (matches, formations, players, etc.) is stored on the Club's computer or portable media and belongs to the Club; the Licensor does not collect it. The Club is responsible for processing personal data lawfully (GDPR), especially that of minors, and for its own backups. Rating lists and other data obtained from ESO, FIDE or other sources are subject to the terms of those sources.

6. Updates

The Software may check for updates over the internet. Updates are covered by this agreement unless they come with other terms. The Licensor has no obligation to provide updates or support.

7. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or freedom from errors. The User checks match sheets, formations, ratings and results before submitting them to a federation, arbiter or organiser.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Licensor is not liable for any direct or indirect damage, loss of data, penalties, forfeits or disqualifications, or lost profits arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Software. Liability for intent or gross negligence is not excluded.

9. Termination

This license ends automatically if any of its terms is breached. On termination the Club stops using the Software and deletes all copies of it; the Club's data remains its own.

10. Governing law

This agreement is governed by Greek law. The courts of Athens have jurisdiction over any dispute.

11. Language

This agreement is available in Greek and English. If the two differ, the Greek text prevails.
