Matchday
Team match scoring for chess clubs of the Hellenic Chess Federation (ESO). A Windows desktop app that works offline.
What it does
- Lineups and resultsSet up boards for each team match, enter results and see the score as you go.
- Official match sheetsPrint or save the ESO match sheet and the away formation sheet as PDF.
- FIDE and ESO ratingsDownloads the public rating lists, so player search and board order work offline.
- Season reportsPlayer and club records over a season or any period, with PDF and Excel export.
Matchday keeps all its data in a database on the club's own computer (or USB stick). It has no user accounts and no Matchday server: nothing you enter is sent to us.
How Matchday uses Google (optional)
A club can choose to connect its Google account in Settings › Transfer › Connect Google Drive. Matchday then uses Google Drive for two things only:
- Backups: copies of the Matchday database are saved in a
Matchdayfolder in the user's own Google Drive, so the club can restore them on another PC. - Availability sheet: the club can create a Google Sheet in that folder where players mark which match days they can play, and read the answers back into the app.
Matchday asks only for access to the files it creates itself (drive.file) and for the account's email address, which it shows in Settings so you know which account is connected. It cannot see any other file in your Drive. Google data is never sent to Techmind or anyone else.
Read the privacy policy for the details, and how to disconnect and delete the data.
